it was really hard to choose only one person this month, but i have chosen.
Congratulations are in order for Heather Full!
Its been 7 years now since a childhood friend of hers was kidnapped and murdered. His big brother owed a hot shot drug dealer about $1200 in drug money. When the dealer came to finally collect, he ran into Heather’s friend Nick first. Thinking he could use him as bait/collateral, they took Nick up to Santa Barbara, CA and partied with him all weekend. When bad advice got worse, instead of taking Nick back home because they were looking at felony charges, for some reason “getting rid of him”, was a better idea. They took Nick up to a random spot in Santa Barbara and shot him 9 times. He was 15 years old.
Universal recently made a movie based on Nick’s story, called Alpha Dog.
Now Heather will be able to memorialize her friend in a positive way, forever.
